In Zootopia, would the phrase the "deer in the headlights" be considered offensive to deer? And if so, what would they call it instead?
Here's my answer.
I made this just for a quick Twitter laugh, but I was laughing so hard in the theater during that scene, so much so that I didn't even catch Judy's sex joke, all because of the way Nick's face went from "smug" to "wait, what?" all the way to "life flashing before my eyes," so of course I'm going to share it here too.

It'd depend, on the one hand Judy takes offense to 'cute' but casually throws about bunnies and multiplying. (And her family... it's big.) Quite possibly deer there DO freeze in headlights to a comical degree. In my country where deer are rare and possums plentiful, possum-related sayings abound more.
