You flatter me sir. :3 *Sritches scruff in between your ears*
Hmm... where to begin?
Inspiration Inspiration Inspiration.
I told myself I wanted to make something simple, realistic and beautiful.
I followed my original idea like it was an outline. Then magic happens.
That's the best I can explain it, unless you want me to go into technical detail.

Everything was made in PhotoShop CS3.
Kay, so.. I started with the sky first. It's broken down into two different layers.
First layer is a black and white rendering of the clouds. I filled the layer with a
gray half tone and used the burn and dodge tools with different brushes to start
bringing forward and pushing back the gray to make a sort of cloud pattern.
Underneath that layer was filled with a soft gradients of colors (pink, purple, blue
and turquoise) By applying the layer effect 'luminosity' to the cloud layer allows
the colors (hues) of the Previous layer to show through the cloud layer without
disturbing it's tonal value. Then by using gaussian blur (or any other kind of blur)
I softened the clouds giving them a more realistic fluffy look. The rest of the picture
was made through shear photo manipulation. I added the mountains and field,
erasing everything that wasn't needed. I used an old Renaissance trick to make
the mountain, and parts of the field to look further away in the landscape. By
Painting distant features with a faint color of blue, lowering contrast in the process
simulates the blue tint of the day time atmosphere. Last added where the foxes.
I erased certain parts of the foxes features, and added grass bits over them where
their bodies touch the ground to make them look submerged in the landscape.
And it's that simple! So go get inspired and make something beautiful!
