Other way around, males are black and white and the females vary from grey to a bright orange and both have metalic coloured mouthparts!

They're not native here, I bought this one from an invert specialist! They do have venom but it's not known to be a threat to human life

good to know. theyre all over here in washington, and a big one is in my bucket near my compost. lol. catching flies.
