Do you plan on maybe making icons like this in the future? Even just simple wiggles without any other motion I think could sell well.

ahh i'd really really love to someday! i made this as a square because i thought i wanna make this into an icon originally
HOWEVER since they're like.. 15-20 frames for a simple animation i dunno if anyone would be interested in commissioning them since theyre gonna be pricer than normal icons

Yo but thats ok!! You're not perfect at animating yet, plus I can tell you put a lot of effort into the eyes and mouth which look AMAZINGLY SMOOTH.. don't worry about the hair its just doing whatever its funky its fresh

you're using Flash, yeah? are you using the onion skin feature? it'll allow you to see frames before/after the frame you're currently on on a lower opacity.
copying your first frame and pasting it at the end will give you a good reference of what the animation is going to loop back to, so you can make sure that the hairline will move more smoothly back to that position!

wiggle icons are much easier than animations like this; they really don't need to be as many frames. 3-5 frames is all you need to get the effect, as the motion comes from variations in your lines of a mostly-static subject. this is a tutorial that i use when i feel like making wiggle stuff, and this is the site that i use to turn it into different-sized gifs.

for this i just used sai! but i put the layer beneath on lower opacity to mimic onion skin
i do love wiggle icons and i have made them before but i also like it when the animation has some kind of purpose whether its something small like a change of expression or something larger like.. actual movment
