For my latest 'sweeps month' (May, 2016), I have a special all-new image from my BFFSB (Black-covered Fat Furry Sketch Book)...
On Saturday, May 7, 2016, I went to Tate's Comics in Lauderhill, Florida for "Free Comic Book Day". In addition to picking up my free comic book titles, the store also had an "artist's alley" with a number of local Floridian talents - including writer/co-artist/co-inker Cyndi Foster and co-artist/co-inker Jeramy Hobz, the team behind the independent comic book title "Oops". (This title is the fantasy adventure about a human boy with magical powers [named 'Oops'], who befriends a small rat [named 'Plague']. At the end of the first issue, 'Oops' uses his magic to save the rat after he's attacked by a cat, and by the second issue, 'Plague' becomes human-sized and can talk - while the boy ends up becoming mute.)
When I'd first met the team (at a comic book convention two years earlier), they were nice enough to draw the two main characters in my BBSB (Big Black Sketch Book) - which you can still see in my 'Scraps' section - at https://www.furaffinity.net/view/12108511/ - and I'd asked them this time to render a sketch of a fattened version of 'Plague' in my BFFSB (Black-covered Fat Furry Sketch Book). And they'd randomly chosen hamburgers as the rat's choice of snack - which only seemed apropos, as May is also "National Hamburger Month"!
FOOTNOTE: If any of you are interested in seeing "Oops", Issues #1-5 and the graphic novel version of all five issues are on sale by going to www.oopscomicadventure.com - and you can 'like' it in "Facebook" at http://www.facebook.com/oopscomicadventure - and you can also E-mail them at cyndifoster[at]gmail.com and hobzart[at]gmail.com
