Asking $750 but I am willing to haggle a bit if anyone is interested.
MUST PAY THROUGH PAYPAL, I WILL ACCEPT PAYMENT PLANS BUT IF FULL PAYMENT IS NOT GIVEN WITHIN 3 MONTHS (WITH EXCEPTIONS) I WILL TAKE OWNERSHIP BACK AND RETURN THE MONEY PAID.
If you decide you no longer want him, I ask that you PLEASE contact me before selling him/giving him away to someone else. Not a requirement, just a HUGE preference! He does still hold a place in my heart. ♥
Neko has a "female alt" named Snow, who I will be keeping. I have included a picture of her in my stash, so buyer be aware that I have her and will SOMETIMES use her. She is not my main sona, so will not be used often.

It's not illegal nor is it theft...
I've also seen plenty of people sell characters with their art because most artists are fine with that~
It mostly boils down to the artists ToS/art agreement; not many even include it because it's quite standard.
They're not selling the artists art, they're reimbursing the money they've spent. It is completely legal and is, if not all the time, a lower price which is compensating for the original price they paid for said art.

Youre mistaken. Most of that art was freebies that were drawn for her by friends of her ex. Most of that art was given to her for free. And no she cant sell it at all without the original artists permission to include the art. Its like if i took a dvd and copied it to try to sell it. Its illegal because it is copyrighted. Every artist has legal copyright of their work and without proof of consent, it is indeed theft. She is making a huge amount of profit off of stuff she mostly got for free. Not only that, but even characters sold by popular artists dont go for much more than a hundred or two at most.
Legality aside, this attempt to sell the character is a very thinly veiled attack on her ex. Her ex designed the character and did a huge portion of the art she is attempting to sell. She knows how much the character means to her ex and is dangling it out in public in front of everyone for all to see. Her ex designed the character from the bottom up from scratch out of the goodness of his heart because she apparently couldnt come up with one for herself. If she has no need for the character, she should just return it to the original artist and stop this meaningless sale.
And lets all be honest here. 750 is extreemely steep. No one will buy the character for that much. Furries are cheap. Thats why they buy 30$ adoptables to make into their fursonas.
Bottom line is, the art is not hers to sell (shes trying to sell a traditional piece i also did for her for free) and she did not aquire the original artists permission to make a profit off their work.

Most of the art was commissioned art that I paid for. Probably around 1/4 - 1/3 of the art was gifted to me. In a legal court system, I have the rights to a gift. A gift is the transfer of ownership from one person to another, and this is all legality and you can feel free to research it yourself or I can provide you some links. So in other words, I have every right to do as I please with the art that was gifted to me, as I own it. On top of that characters by popular artists don't go for more than a few hundred because it is usually the character itself, not a character with lots of art already made. And it doesn't matter if popular artists don't sell characters for this much, it's my character and I have the right to ask what I please for it.
Legality aside, this is NOT an attempt to attack my ex. I have no desire to attack or harass anyone, unlike what you have been doing to me. This is simply my way of 1. Getting rid of a character that has negative feelings attached to it for me, who would otherwise rot and I don't want to see that happen to it and 2. Getting some extra cash for the move that I am going to be making in the near future. So please, keep your assumptions to yourself. My ex actually didn't even design the entire character himself. I gave him a color palette, a description and a name AND he used a design creator to get an idea for many of the markings. It was not all done by scratch, so stop spreading lies. The character belongs to me, always has, the sale is not meaningless, nor is it an attack, if the "original artist" wants to pay the price I'm asking, or haggle, then fine, I will "give it back" but until then I reserve rights to the character. I don't like how you actively attacked me in this comment and white-knighted my ex by saying things like "he made this out of the goodness of his heart and because she apparently couldn't make one herself", pretty darn biased and one-sided.
Another thing is, I have seen designs WITH NO EXTRA ART sell for hundreds and THOUSANDS. So, I think the price I'm asking is fair, or if just a little steep. So it's my right to ask for what I please and leave it up for sale until I decide to accept an offer I may get, or simply do something else with it. My right.
Back to the gift thing, you drew that art as a gift, and thus, in a legal court of law, I have ownership. I am selling the character, the art does increase value but I am selling the character. If you so desire, I will remove your art from the stash and continue the sale that way, even though I do have the right to sell anyway, I simply don't want the drama and harassment.

Honestly I feel all this drama of selling Neko coulda been avoided if you weren't also trying to sell art that INCLUDES any of Milo's characters (commissions or not), and art that he drew for you of your characters together.
Like that's just low??? And very much comes off as some sort of attack. Sure you offer on some pieces to crop out any characters that belong to him (most of those involving what was his fursona at the time), but you should've just...cropped him out to begin with??? Why even offer, just do it in the first place. And not all of the couple art can have his characters cropped out. What is some stranger gonna do with a bunch of art that depicts a personal relationship with a character they don't own that belongs to a person they don't know?? You really don't have any right to try and make money off art that includes a character that isn't yours, no matter who drew it or paid for it.

Given that there seems to be some controversy over this character and questions are being raised about the legality of the situation I feel as if the price of this lot is exorbitantly high. If it is true that most of the art was free in the first place it eliminates the idea that the seller is trying to recoup the losses from commissioning the work, that said I am making an offer, 50 dollars, I am willing to haggle on this price and look forward to your reply.
I'm sorry, but I know based on the fact that I just got harassed on Telegram by Xander at the same time this comment was posted AND at the same time I received a note from another account about the character, that you have ties to Xander or Milo. So I'm going to decline, because it's way too coincidental that I receive this message, messages on telegram and a note from another account about Neko all at the same time.
I only favorite things that deal with my Fursona or things that I request/commission, and nothing has been done on either front in the artwork for three years as I have been until recently caring for a family member with a terminal illness, I look at a lot of different artists on FA and bookmark the ones I like, I am sorry if that makes you look at me unfavorably and if you are so hellbent on declining my offer you may, just please consider all possibilities rather then reject me out of hand.
I have every right to reject your offer on whatever terms I please. If I do not feel like selling my character to you, for any reason, I have the right to decline, even without giving a reason why. I told you my reasons why, which was polite of me rather than just flat-out rejecting with no explanation.
IF he only comes w/ that amount of art in the image, $750 is quite a lot.
However, I don't see how its Illegal to Sell something. I'd love the Fine Print for those that think it is... derp.
where in the USA/UK laws is it illegal to do such a thing o: ?
Anyway; Lovely character. ^^ Hope it sells eventually.

Thank you <3 :D
I had a buyer, but it seems like they may have vanished, they haven't been online in a few weeks :( Hopefully I hear back
Keeping him isn't really an option, I'm kind of drifting out of the furry community personally, like I still love to look at the art and I still have a main character but I'm just not as interested in getting art :P
But mostly, keeping him isn't an option because I'm trying to scrape together enough money to move out of an abusive household and, probably, buy myself a used car
