I Know What You're Thinking - W.I.P.
Yes, this is EXTREMELY similar to a piece I did not so long ago: http://pegasus316.deviantart.com/ar.....-Bath-92284162
Well, Talin came up to me at MFF 08, saw that piece and asked for some similar, except with a snow leopard in more current clothes, and copious amounts of cherry blossoms (that's what took me the longest).
So, this is another of the illustrious 12 works in progress as listed in my journal. Inking this one is gonna be FUN. ;)
Enjoy!

That's looking very nice, though it's not quite got the 'snow leopard' vibe. I hope you don't mind if I critique it - heck, it may be just how they want it, but if it were for me I'd suggest you look at the following:
1. The spots. Snow leopards have much smaller spots on their faces and necks compare to those on their legs. The wikipedia snow leopard is a good example of this. Secondly, the spots on the body aren't patches so much as rosettes - the centre is empty. For colouring my snow leopard character I usually use five overlapping circles in a ring.
2. The tail. On second thoughts, the tail is probably about the right length (as long as the rest of the body again). However, it should probably be a bit more fluffy - on the real cat, the tail is as thick as the legs, if not thicker. The rosettes are biggest on the tail.
This may be useful: http://www.no-pest.com/SnowLeopard.htm
Again, it all depends how much like a snow-leopard she is supposed to look. The shape of the head and ears (which gave both Keaton and Siegfried a major headache when we were prototyping Azrael) are pretty much perfect IMHO.

Actually, going by the reference book that I used, the spots do have a darker hue on the inside than they do on the rest of their body. I simply used that shading to keep myself reminded of that fact for the finished color work. As for the face and other areas, I did vary up the spot sizes a BIT, but again, the reference pic I used is where I got most of that pattern from. I'll look it over again before inking, but I don't think I'm that off here, to be honest.
As for proportions, don't forget that this is mostly just an outline. But, the time I'd gotten to her tail, with all the detail in the upper areas having already been worked out, I was getting a bit tired. So, I went a little lazy and just gave an idea to the outline and the pattern on it. During inking I'll fluff it up a bit. Maybe wet down the tip of the tail, since it's pretty close to the surface of the water, just for effect. ;)
