The mainstay of the Vega Protectorate's space-fleet, the Hoplite-Class Destroyer (often called "The Brick" by spacefarers, it's a common sight over protectorate worlds and among freighter convoys. The Hoplite holds a high place in the minds of most citizens of the Protectorate as it was the first dedicated warcraft the Protectorate ever built, that it still makes up the bulk of their fleet and remains relevant half a century later says much of Vegan spacecraft construction. Armed with four twin medium laser cannons turrets, four missile launchers, a medium flack cannon and a chin-mounted heavy laser cannon, the Hoplite is still a dedicated anti-fighter but can still pose a threat to other ships within it's class.
