Cytrix, Wire bike Prototype Part 1 (Art by Immelmann)
Lot #62 Cytrix Prototype.
The file buzzes to life to show a golden jackal standing next to a motorcycle while a silhouetted canine stands in the corner with his arms crossed. The Jackal adjusts her labcoat and clears her throat. Taking care to move a lock of blonde hair out of her eye to consider the camera with professional clarity.
"Day 41, We've completed installing the firmware in to the Cytrix Draft Wire Motorcycle. With luck, its functionality will permit it to sync with the rider for telemetry, and even learn based on the rider's intelligence. Master Darkwitt has permit me to use subject 001, named Cai, for our testing. It's important that Cai is unaware for initial testing so as to ensure a blind trial of the Cytrix's first attempt at synchronization."
"For the sake of allowing the subject a little familiarity, we've allowed him a few initial test trials of the bike without the AI active. making him familiar and comfortable with the bike. tonight we'll be activating the AI before its routine maintenance."
the canine leans forward to slip off the wall he was pressing against. walking over to rest a hand on the jackal's shoulder.
"are you sure we can't tell him about this?"
"absolutely sir! If he was aware, he would be working in complete cooperation with the machine."
"but isn't that the point of the Cytrix to sync with it's user?"
the jackal gave an impish grin.
"Of course sir, but we're not planning on it to be a voluntary process were we?"
"I suppose not."
