So here's something I had in the works for a LONG while - one out of two pictures inspired by the movie "Shortbus". Watching it I instantly wanted to draw some characters interacting in that kind of environment. I could write a short essay on the impression the movie left on me, really. I'm actually super curious if anyone here on FA was part of any of those NY gatherings this movie was inspired by - with the number of folks attending this site, and big percentage of them queer, there is a fairly big chance, right? (Actually, I really really wanna spend some time in New York sooner or later, seems like there are a lot of interesting cultural events and communities going on all the time.)
Either way, here we have Marie the roo, slightly tipsy, attempting to hit on this rather shy guy who isn't yet that comfortable with the place, but he's surely getting there. Her cat buddy teases her in a friendly manner. That's all I got.
The composition sucks, (and I need to brush up on picking color palletes) but after reworking the pic over and over over the span of few months I couldn't just give it up and not finish it. So hurray!
