As far as Todd,and a lot of other people, is concerned the first day of hunting season should be a national holiday with time off and pay. Tho that would mean more people out in the woods....scaring off the deer....and taking the good hunting spots........maybe Todd will just keep on taking a vacation day for it. Todd was so excited for the first day he could barely sleep like a kid at Christmas. So after getting up at 4:00 am he got dressed,packed his rifle, and kissed Dixie goodbye,which got him a smack to the face with a pillow for waking her up, and started out. He begin the trip with the traditional stop for breakfast at Waffle House to brag to the other hunters about how great of huntsmen he was and place a friendly bet with the grill cook. Todd took up his spot in the tree stand and waited for that prized twelve point buck to show up. Sadly the prized buck did not show up, or any buck for that matter. The day was bust and now he would be out $20 but Todd still enjoyed the day all the same after all he will be back tomorrow. Now to get a to go order from waffle house.
