Haha. I'm actually not certain. I've heard it was a circular cooking platform of sorts, but I think it could have had some medical purpose. The shutes along the outside almost looked like vents to me, not lights, and there was a circular contour along the inner circle which looked as though perhaps glass or some type of enclosure was once fixed, and those vents offered clean air into the section. Scattered viral paperwork around the room also makes me wonder if it was used for treatment.

Put into perspective, and the location of this find, it was more likely a kitchen. :)

it has a claustrophobic feel...to me, it reminds me of those torture chambers where the ceiling went down and squashed you..it's very Freudian, you show it to people and everyone says a different thing
