I remember seeing somewhere that Australian lifeguards do something like that to protect themselves from lethal jellyfish. Get one set of pantyhose that fits normally; get another in the biggest size available, cut a hole in the crotch, and wear it like a shirt - make sure that you're thoroughly covered, unlike the lady above. Cut holes in the feet of both sets of hose to allow water to drain. One lifeguard said that the hardest part was finding pantyhose "for a woman with a bum as big as my shoulders."

I had the idea since many nylon pantyhoses have a diamond-shaped insert at their bottoms to allow for wider... y'know. :) thank you!

nice random fact. didn't know a nylon panty could throw off the jellyfish nessles. or make them fire before they could reach the skin, or whatever... seems to work well, so there. ^^
yeah, hehe, those products are never made for those applications. try to don a nylon catsuit if you're built normally. makes one wonder what they think how many women actually have that ideal shape. :P

There was a mention in the article that the fabric was too thick for the jellyfish nematocysts to pierce. I wonder if Australian hosiery manufacturers had looked into this as a possible new product, even if it is for a rather specialized market.

considering how thin nylon pantyhose fabric is I doubt that is actually the case, since some jellyfish nema... mena... nemo... thingies can pierce even 3mm neoprene, or so they claim... which is a lot of power behind it.

hehe* I can sesquipedaliate my loquacionsims as accurate as can, too, and so so occasionally. granted, as a non-native speaker I have to watch out to follow my own speech... that page you likalized mentionatalizes Adam Warren's "Empowered", which gladly sportifies a similar character, and also an alien which captivatalized the main character, until she got released again for being not of properalized shapeability, and that machine spoke like that all the time...
btw, I can recommend them comics. Adam Warren thinks up worlds, people, gadgets and situations like nobody else. if you like his Dirty Pair soiries you'll love his own creation. ^^
