One day I thought to myself 'I know what Griff looks like in 1945 and 1996 (having time traveled and never changed the clothes in the two shows he was in), but what does he look like now or in the near future?'.
Now mind you, he scarcely aged, but still, did he change clothes yet? If he did, what would it look like, similar, drastically different?
And does he use modern technology or even know how to use it?
Well I figured if it came to clothing he would not change much save for adding a few things. In the case of the picture here, he now has spiffy new shoes and gloves and his shoulder pads are new. After all, the studded look was so early twentieth technology armor. He did not change the jacket or pants seeing as though it serves no real armor bonus and he is used to it.
I doubt he would be bringing laptops wherever he goes, however he can not go anywhere without his nifty new Motorola Blue Tooth headset cellular telephone. That way he can keep in good contact when on the job patrolling London. Gotta love modern networking technology, so handy.
And ask for the background, that would be the new London Bridge Tower, a.k.a The Shard. Obviously it is not built yet, but it looked so cool when looking for backgrounds on the internet. And besides, the building should be done by 2012 (hence the year in the title of the picture) and artwork need not make sense anyways at all times.
The new tattoo on his shoulder (yes, it is a tattoo. It was his idea not mine, do not ask me why.) says in Chinese several things. One meaning is that it says English (found this out by accident when finding the translation for hero), the other meaning means brave. We all know that Griff is English and brave. I was thinking of hero in Chinese first, but I liked the meaning of the first symbol by itself better anyhow (and it saves space too :)).
Please comment with happiness and what have you, aye.

Mein Got. Not even five minutes ago and already this one has 8 views and a comment. I must have truly outdone myself on this one and seriously underestimated my own talents. And thank you for the comment. As nostalgic as Griff is, this was meant to be him around this time and a few years from now. In that sense he is both nostalgic and yet not. I so do love riddles and a bit of mystery. How about you, aye?
Thank you, I was thinking of a cross between the style Brooklyn wore in Future Tense and the clothing Goliath wore when he put the Eye of Odin on.
And the choice of colors came from the tendency fro many characters from the show to have mainly two colors in their costumes. A common combination I like the most is the colors blue and yellow, you see it often in the show.
The background is an edit and cropping of a nice picture I found while googling for a modern night skyline of London for inspiration for the background. There were others but this one took the cake: http://simoncpage.co.uk/blog/2008/1.....on-bridge-cgi/ and more specifically http://simoncpage.co.uk/blog/wp-con.....t_and_nlbh.jpg.
I then edited it to make it more like the cartoon would have it. I still find it more detailed though and I hope I am not going against copyright stuff by using the photo, I am not making money off of it after all and I am at least citing it.

Aye, I know that show well.
The Green in the second season. The Quetzacoatil is named Zafiro which is Spanish for Sapphire. He is one of my other favorite gargoyles that happens to be in two or less shows, .
The pendants are powered by a sun seal in the Museum of Natural History in New York and was nearly destroyed in a fight between Lexington and Broadway with two robbers hired by either Puck or someone else .
I was thinking either those pendants or the Eye of Odin which allowed Goliath to be in the sun as well in the show where he eventually gave it back to Odin who obviously lost his touch with face to face communication over the past eleven centuries or so .
I wish they made a spin off show with Griff and his adventures with King Arthur and the other members of the London Clan.
I have a good many ideas myself for adventures like this one in the picture here: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/2000395, that by chance uses your idea of the pendants that came into my head for an idea from the fore mentioned comment you made .
