A female cheetah has climbed onto a fallen tree trunk to get a better view over her territory. Perhaps she is looking for any signs of danger to her cubs, or perhaps she is merely hoping to spot her next meal.

I've never drawn a cheetah before, so I decided that it was about time I tried. Reference is again from my Africa photography book. After some initial difficulties I had great fun doing this, although colouring in all those spots really did test my patience. Anyway, I'm pleased with the way it came out and my scanner didn't mutilate it completely, but it did do something weird with the background colours. Oh well...
