Well, it seems I've created a new entry for my "Eye close-up artworks" collection... because this is the second traditional artwork in which you can see the detailed close-up of an eye.
What can I say? I just like drawing eyes! It's the most important body part in my opinion.
This is a quick birthday gift to my friend

Also, ich habe nur ein Auge gezeichnet, weil sich das Bild in meiner "Augen Nahaufnahme" Sammlung einreiht. Vielleicht mache ich echt eine ganze Kollektion davon! XD
Darüber hinaus gebe ich zu, dass ich - aufgrund von Zeitmangel - eher nur ein kleines Bild zeichnen konnte... also, besser ein kleines Geschenk, als GAR kein Geschenk.

I wasn`t expecting this, who would have though that you would make a traditional work, and inspired with a previews work of yours, and from all of them, it was the super freaking details of a character`s eye in a close up... and from all of my characters, you choose DRAKE! : D
This is BEAUTIFUL man, BEAUUUUUUTIFUUUUULE!!!!
Is kinda weard to see you working with this palet of colors, yellow/golden for a charcter, totally a great contrast for your confort zone, and by that you made him look so bright and shiny, suitable for a golden dragon like Drake ; 3
Scales as always great and realistic that you can even feel the texture if you could touch it, And the way you drew his eyedraw as a hard scale, that surface effects gives the idea of a solid and strong skin over there.
And for last, the EYE ITSELF! Look at the colors you apply in it, the white space with the little veins on it, giving depth and volume on it aling with the shading, and the iris, which gives a lot of personality to the eye, how living it looks, too strong, so great and pretty.
You really surprised me with this one man : D even if it`s a close up, it´s a great and detailed work and that, my friend, I appreciate it a lot in great scales! *Hugs* Thanks a lot for this gift ^ ^ It really means a lot to me.
