Obviously this will NOT work to accept more commissions, but if you've taken on work and you suddenly CANT get your information to continue working, don't be put out. Save save save. I've been there. I've been burnt years ago, so this is how I managed to fix my problems and I've not had an issue since no matter the FA down time.

What I do when I accept a commission is immediately save the reference and attach them to my Trello card. In that way I can see in at once what commissions needs to be done and for what character :3 but the way lapres does it works too! As long its not a link to fa!
I do have a trello but its more for

It doesn't have any commission info there because I / Others don't want it public.
I DO have my own website that takes commissions etc. but when people send in refs it's about 90% of the time a link to FA
my problem is I forget that FA is, well FA and can go down at any moment so I sit back and don't back it up (honestly my own fault) I have LEARNED NOW however lol.
I'm also not going to have FA as my main.
smaller baby sites have been MUCH MORE reliable than FA in all it's years.

No of course, I don't add private info there either, just what I have to draw (badge, bust etc) and what character with attachment (which I do immediately after people fill in the form, save the files etc).
The private part is in my google docs, which is pretty much the info that is placed there from a form that people needs to fill in ;3
For anything else I use my email to contact people and send the files too!
So no own website, just a link to a form and my contact info ♥
I just use all the sites, fa, weasyl, deviantart, tumblr, facebook. twitter, instagram (not sofurry or inkbunny tough, and I believe you also have furrynetwork now but its just too much to keep track of every the furry art site :P).
I Just use some more often then others and noticed most of my clients and activity is mostly on fa. I barely get any feedback on weasyl and tumblr. Twitter and facebook is just nice for updates and also a feed from my Insta for people who like to follow me and see what I am up too ♥ So no FA is not my main, but nothing really is :P

yay for being organized! Shared it on my page, hope it reaches out to other artist! People need to know this! I've learned my lessons years ago too :P but just like you I also like to be more organized and have all the info in one place ♥ I dislike going through fa notes, its not practical.
