It's that time of the year to raise awareness for those that suffer from a fight for freedom, a freedom that we all celebrate.
Be kind to your neighbors with your late night activities, let them know about your plans ahead of time so they can prepare themselves. Letting them know can ease some of the stress. It also shows respect, not only to them but the overall community. If your area has regulations about noise control or a time frame to play, please stay within that time window. I'm not saying that you can't do this self expression and celebration of your freedom, I'm just saying that you might be hurting someone else unintentionally by doing it with out notification.
This issue doesn't just stick to a human nature, our furry friends suffer as well. They need a safe place for the night. If you are going away or you and your neighbors are blowing it up. Give your pets a safe place to hide with plenty of water and food and something to block out the noise (like playing music or having the TV on in that safe place).
Please help out, be kind to our friends. Pass it along.
*If you are one to suffer from this issue as well, let your neighbors know of your situation. Be proactive and provide a solution not a problem. They won't know until you say something.
If this message finds you and you want to do more, do some research before sending your money away to some random fundraiser or charity thing (some places keep large portions of the donations or it never reaches the "true destination"). If you want to truly make a difference for veterans, go out to a Vets home make small donations of time by visiting with them, or send cards.... You don't have to give the shirt off your back, small acts of kindness go a very long way.
I thank you for your time and greatly appreciate your support to your local vets.
