This comic really is remarkable and a very sensitive and thoughtful work. It's very frankly but very tenderly handled throughout-- there is a warm and conversational angle to LTTWA that is like an Ozu or Cassavetes film. It also never becomes terribly navel-gazing and self-aggrandizing as roman-a-clef stuff can become.
