I haven't been able to get commissions for a long time. But recently I was able to scrounge together some money, so I'll be posting six commissions as they get done.


And in five of them, there will be one common theme: baby bonnets!


I love baby bonnets so much when I feel like they're done right. But they're so hard to get perfect. Luckily for me, I found an artist (who I'll be posting pics of later) who drew a bonnet in the most perfect way to me. So I was able to use that as a ref.


As a result,  Zombineko (Unia) was able to draw Digitz wearing a bonnet just the way I like it. And the result is so perfect to me.


First off, Unia's work is so incredibly adorable...I had to get a couple of commissions.


But this is my absolute favorite outfit. The booties, diaper, shirt and bonnet combination is the absolute cutest thing I can imagine. It reminds me of the Care Bears Movie 2, which has the cutest cubs ever to me.

(Unia actually made EIGHT versions of this pic, showing all of the combinations of the paci, shirt, and booties either being included or not. So that was really cool).


Most artists can draw the shirt, diaper and booties well. Of course, Unia did too. I really love the safety pins on the diaper, the booties are super cute, and the t-shirt completes it (plus the paci and teddy are awesome).


But it's the bonnet that makes the pic special to me. That design is perfect for me. Bonnets are hard because for me, they can't look too girly/sissy/frilly, but I also don't want them to look goofy/comical like they sometimes do in cartoons and costumes (since they're put in there for laughs). I just want a bonnet that makes a boy look cute/adorable...and that's so hard to get.


But there's something about the blue t-shirt and blue ribbon combination that makes him look like a boy...but still so incredibly soft and adorable. I don't know what it is about this bonnet design...the white color combined with the slightly frilly front and the blue ribbon wrapping around just hits it perfectly for m. So I adore this pic so much.
