Sophia is the selfish princess every fantasy story needs. I have taken the liberty of tracking her development from right to left by age. Sophia, while she is not (at this time anyway) a main character, she is a main supporting character, and the story actually has a lot to do with her.
When we first meet Sophia in the story, she is unbearably selfish, and insanely captivated by her own ideas. She is sheltered, and knows very little about the world, and has very little desire to actually be the ruler of her country Elysia. Her mother worries about this when she tries to find her a tutor.
She is very interested in magic, but never gets to learn.
