***THIS IS A RE-POST***
...I originally posted this piece last week, and it was removed. Well, I wouldn't want to offend anyone's delicate sensibilities, now would I? So, here it is again. :P
There are a number of disparate influences for this, the main one being that this piece is no more and no less than an exercise in trying to break off a chunk of depressive malaise and hopelessness, and commit it directly to words. Some of it, of course, came out in the form of clichés and sayings of others, such as this gem from the TV show Mr. Robot:
‘Give a man a gun, and he can rob a bank. Give a man a bank, and he can rob the world.’
Gee, didn’t that very thing happen in 2008 (as well as countless other times throughout history)?
Another inspiration is Robert Fulghum’s 1986 book: All I Really Need to Know I learned in Kindergarten.
Still another was Irish singer Johnny Logan’s tune ‘What’s Another Year?’, which won the 1980 Eurovision Song Contest.

Ugh. I think you just invoked Rule #34 again. :P
And maybe I'm becoming an old prude, but I've been saying for about a year that I think FA needs a secondary adult filter, namely a Fetish Filter.
Those of us, who would prefer to have some of the shitting dick-nipples and "Jabba the Hutt diarrhea-wrestling with the Stay-Puft Marsmallow Man" separated from our relatively boring and vanilla (at least by comparison) adult art, could do so. :P
But we wouldn't want to stifle anyone's freedom of expression, now, would we? :P

No decent artist that I know has anything against filters. If anything one of the biggest things I see asked for here is more of them. e621 has a lot as does Derpibooru. It helps artists find the niche audiences they may be trying to appeal to plus it helps avoid people commenting how disgusting they thing a thing is.
Of course asshats are going to do it anyways just to be cockwaffles.
