I’ve been playing the game Armello this weekend, and have been enjoying it quite a bit – enough that I wanted to try my hand at some fanart. It’s a digital board game that involves wresting power from a mad king.
One of the victory conditions is a “Rot Victory.” Normally, in this game, one tries to avoid corruption whenever possible; however, a player may choose instead to embrace corruption, and a Rot Victory takes place if a player kills the king while more corrupt than he is.
Sana of the Bear Clan is, under normal conditions, a peaceful druid. She is portrayed as kind and gentle, and would prefer to avoid direct conflict and find other solutions for her problems. She is a “Sister of the Forest,” using magic and brains instead of brawn to try to save the kingdom.
And yet, her specific stats and setup also make her a prime candidate for a Rot Victory.
Perhaps it is the most pious among us that also have the most potential for cruelty, especially when it is being done in the name of good. Those who rise the highest also have the farthest to fall.
Reupload from the rollback.
