It's a neat old mic.
Very heavy and massively chrome plated.
While not considered a 'broadcast' mic, you see it used in countless photos from the 60's.
Also, by changing the way it's wired at the plug, it becomes a Hi-Z mic, it was a mainstay in the 'ham shack'. (N8NNJ)
The plug is really it's only draw back, one of those odd Amphenol 4pin connector.
I'm willing to bet if it had a now slandered XLR, it would be in use still.
I think the neat thing is this is a cardioid mic, designed way before computers.
So it was mostly trial and error and of course building on what came before.
