While I was out in the woods I sketched a whole lot of things. Most of them were about a trainworld character of mine being eaten by a giant mantis, but in one I drew/wrote a conversation between said character and a terrorkitteny pao about how he'd rather just be left alone and not have me torment him any more.
I might have tried to threaten to tell a Steward about all his crimes unless he came with me to meet a giant mantis.
I will admit this was probably a mistake.
Stewards are scary things. Not only do they train and teach Protectors for a living; they also fight the Councils on a regular basis. Stewards don't generally get much scary-credit since not many people would think about someone who will just *talk* to people all that frightening unless they stop to think about it, but Stewards are probably the scariest people I'm writing about.
So here's Steward Sebastian having had a stern talking-to with an anthro terrorkitten pao, neither impressed nor scared at them crawling impolitely over his desk.
The terrorkitten is very scared. They should be. It's more than reasonable to be scared when a Steward is looking annoyed at one. Also, this was before I got a better idea what they should look like. Thanks to Machinesbleedtoo I now know what they should look like. At least the feral version of them.

On the topic of how scary Stewards are; a Protector named Eva said it best when she described them thusly:
"They ask things that turn your heart around and make you all dizzy. Can make you angry and sad as happy or whatever way they prefer you as they wish. No matter what truth you bring along to them you'll always leave with the truth they give you."
They don't have to use their hands to beat people up. No matter what you thought you wanted or believed when you first started fighting them about it, you will leave with the truth they give you.
If they're not sounding like terrifying people to you, I'm happy you haven't met people like that.
