Azazel
Azazel is a gentle yet mysterious Fallen rabbit of unknown origin. Like many of his kin, his memories of mortal life have vanished, leaving him to piece together what little he can from other Fallen. He wanders the land, occasionally lending a helping paw and quietly searching for clues about who he once was. Though his heritage often elicits fear or suspicion, Azazel’s true nature is empathetic—he cares deeply for those around him, despite his reluctance to let them in.
---
The Fallen
Fallen are an enigmatic race predating all known history. Infamous for their powerful magic and lost recollections of mortal life, they were once respected—or even worshipped—until their abilities drew fear and hostility. Over the centuries, persecution drove most Fallen into hiding, making them a rare sight and relegating their stories to legend.
Though seemingly ageless, Fallen can still be harmed or killed by conventional means, requiring somewhat greater force than ordinary beings. Ancient runes and spells can nullify or seal their powers altogether, leaving them utterly vulnerable. Some runic magic can even immobilize a Fallen or heighten their sensitivity to certain stimuli, making them easy targets.
---
Background
Azazel’s innate shyness stems from millennia of solitude. With his kin forced to live on the fringes, he rarely stays in one place for long. His social awkwardness leads him to mimic the brash confidence many Fallen adopt as a survival tactic, but his uneasy tapping paws, nervous stammers, and hesitant eye contact reveal his genuine anxiety.
Despite all this, Azazel longs for real connection. The isolation of his immortal existence weighs heavily on him, and while short-lived alliances with other Fallen have helped, they’ve never quenched his desire for true companionship. When he does let someone in, he offers unwavering support and attentiveness, carefully watching for any sign of acceptance—or rejection.
---
Abilities
By Fallen standards, Azazel’s powers fall somewhere in the middle—still impressive to mortals, yet nothing extraordinary among his own kind. He uses hypnosis to erase memories of any encounter with him, helping him remain hidden. In combat, fire magic is his go-to, but he avoids violence unless absolutely necessary. Like all Fallen, Azazel can hover indefinitely, although he chooses to walk in most social settings to appear more approachable.
His most draining skill is summoning ethereal objects—weapons, tools, or restraints—crafted from his raw magical essence. Sustaining these manifestations leaves him fatigued, so he wields them sparingly. Nevertheless, even these “average” Fallen abilities make Azazel a formidable presence in the mortal realm, hinting at the true depth of his mysterious past.

(This is a disclaimer, and you will see me repeat it quite a bit in this, so sorry for saying it so many times: I am not trying to "drum up business." I just think it would be fun writing a story about your character.)
If you want, I can actually write a story about him. It would, of course be completely free, like all the other stories I'm planning on writing for other people, and I will of course leave a link to your FA page!
(This next part isn't any kind of self-promotion. I'm leaving this note because it certainly looks like it.)
If you want to see some of the other things I've written, I post them on DA. Here is a link if you want to check them out (again, I know it sounds like a shameless self-promotion, but it's not. I don't want you to think I'm one of those people who leave comments just so that you'll check out their art, because that's not my intention): https://www.deviantart.com/technodwarf0/gallery/
Like I said, I'm not asking for anything; it's completely free. (I will say, I think it would be a lot of fun to write a story about this character!)
