Hey, look, another boxcar! I've been trying to be productive and actually make some freight cars for my electric motors to pull. Like boxcar # 156 (in the previous pic), this is made from stripwood, cardboard, and so forth. Painted a kind of rust brown (traditional color of railroad freight cars from... well, forever, really), drybrushed with light gray again. Roof is tissue paper, faux finished to represent tar paper roofing. I glued it on, then made kind of erratic lines with extra wood glue to represent seams, Painted black, light drybrush of mid-gray, went over the "seams" with black again, then a light drybrush of pale gray.
Again, couplers, trucks, and brake wheel are only "bought" parts, otherwise built from stripwood, cardboard, wire, wood glue, and super glue, with a few pieces of styrene for bolster blocks and the brake wheel mount.
