"How many now?"
Sliver dared to take another peek around the edge of door frame. The cybernetic thresher shark's cobalt-blue eyes darted left and right as he swiftly conducted another visual sweep.
"Seven - another security bot has turned up."
He turned as he spoke and watched as his comrade in infiltration grimaced. That made three of them now; they would certainly have their work cut out taking down that many of StellarSytems' secure-bots. He guessed though that they should consider themselves lucky that the facility was not on high-alert. Both he and Jadzia's talents in systems infiltration had come strongly into play and enabled them to sneak as close to the primary StellarSys lab as they now were. And they had timed their operation perfectly. Four of SS's brightest cyberneticists were present for a project assessment meeting - including the Senior Project Leader.
Perfect.
Surprise would be on their side, and indeed, it might be the only advantage they had against the well-armed and armoured 'bots.
"Ready?"
Jadzia looked down and flashed her razor-sharp teeth in an eager grin. The monochrome angel reef shark triggered an overcharge in her trusty sidearm of choice, the Predator M912 heavy pistol. Very nearly as cybernetically enhanced as her friend and colleague - and occassional rival - the neon-lit segments of her cybenetic dorsal fin and tail fin glowed just that little bit brighter as the andrenaline began to pump into her bloodstream and she readied herself for furious action.
"Ready."
Sliver returned an eager grin of his own and readied his own weapon of choice, a Mako Armaments P233 Energy Carbine. The semi-automatic firearm was a versatile weapon and eminently suited Sliver for that reason. He counted to three under his breath and then tensed as he prepared to lead the attack.
"Lets go!"

This is the first version of the latest piece of artwork that I've commissioned from the multi-talented :link tales_foxdale:, one that features two of my lesser-seen sharks, Jadzia and Sliver. In this version of the scene, Tales perfectly captured the clandestine and shadowy atmosphere I envisioned of Jax and Sliver being sneaky infiltrators getting ready to spring a rather unexpected surprise. The muted colours are just wonderful and the the way that Tales has managed to pick out detail in Jadzia and in Sliver is very impressive and eye-catching.
