Let's do some math for fun:
Let's say these dogs reproduce by looking at the mirror or looking at itself, and each one can make a new one in a minute approx. Such means that in this one minute, we now have 2 doges. And with that, if not stopped here's some numbers: Minute 2 = 4 dogs, Minute 3 = 8 dogs, Minute 4 = 16 dogs, 5 = 32 dogs, 6 = 64 dogs, 7 = 128 dogs, 8 = 256 dogs, 9 = 512 dogs, and 10 = 1028 dogs.
In other words, if they don't deal with it FAST, the entire building and area around it will be completely buried and engulfed in dog floof in approx. a half hour tops.

In truth I was attempting to use generic terms used not only in Photoshop per say, but with other CGI applications as well, such as 3D Maya or Blender; hence the use of the terms "Instance" and "Replace with". However yes, even these image manipulation programs still use the common legacy key commands to duplicate things with, so really it is the user's choice how to get things done.
