It's kind of crazy how much you can change in such a short time! Around the same time in 2011 is when I drew the first pic, I was graduating high school. Now I just graduated college and wow I've grown so much. I've made plenty of mistakes, big and small, but I'm glad they happened. While they were hard to deal with at the time, I feel like I've really grown and learned how to be a better person.
As you may have also noticed, (the art is awful so maybe not???) but my fursona's have transitioned from female to male. While my feline fursonas and such have been female up until recently, I made Mondai about 3 years ago now. He got me started on portraying myself as more male on the internet.
Recently I have done a lot of personal thinking and growth, and I have found that I do identify as male.
Being transgender was never something I thought I /could/ be, but once I considered it and thought about it more and more, it really made sense to me. I have come out to all my friends (or at least tried, sorry if I didn't get to you!) and it made even more sense when a lot of them expressed that "they knew" long before I did, lmao.
While I do prefer male or non specific pronouns (he/they) I'm not going to correct people who still use she. I personally have never really cared much about my pronouns. I've been mistaken as many different genders all through my life and it's never bothered me. THAT BEING SAID, please respect other people's pronouns! Every person is different, just because I don't care, doesn't mean other people are the same.
"Coming out" wasn't really my intention with this picture? To be honest I just don't really want this to be a big deal, it's not really going to change anything? In any case, I'm getting all my hair chopped off on Thursday, wish me luck! :')

Amazing progress, it's so cool to go back and see how far you've come. I almost want to do the same thing for my art, but viewing my art made 5 years ago makes me cringe. :3
Out of curiousity, have you taken any classes or some form of tutoring on art, or are you entirely self taught? :o

I just graduated with an art degree! While my focus was in 3D art, I did take a few fundamental drawing classes! Though, I'd probably say I'm mostly self taught, the thing we study most were gesture drawings. Learning correct anatomy is the first step (my anatomy is still shit lmao) but it's the first step even with toony stuff! You have to know what's okay to exaggerate and what isn't! Also Pinterest is my favorite place for tutorials and reference!
Neat! Right now, I'm pretty much entirely self teaching myself. I work full time and digital art is a huge interest, but a side hobby, and I don't have a lot of time for classes.
It feels great to make a drawing better than before. I'm just hoping that I don't ever hit a ceiling with quality that I can only overcome with taking classes. x3
