I know what you mean about changing things up too. Until about 2-3 years ago I went my whole life clean-shaven but I'm giving facial hair a try and I REALLY like how I look with it.

It feels really refreshing to try something new! Sometimes I miss my long hair but I think this suits me better, and is so much less maintenance x.x my hair is VERY full and thick and when it's long it takes aaaallll day to dry. And knots easily. So this is so much easier for me LOL

I know what that's like. Remaining clean-shaven is odd because even though having no facial hair is easy to deal with, but having to constantly give myself a thorough shave was tiresome.

Facial hair, however, pretty much runs itself, and it feels surprisingly good to brush and shampoo since the longer one's beard is, the more soft it is. Short beards are generally quite coarse and rough to the touch.

Plus, for me anyway, a beard complements my facial features and proportions so I enjoy that.
