A Decaying Realm is going to be on hiatus for a good while longer as I work out the story, so I've considered bringing to life a different comic with characters I've had for the last four years. The comic, Opal Park, will be a sandbox for me to experiment with art styles and humor. I would like to develop my art skills through a practice comic like Minna Sundberg did in her incredible comic A Redtail's Dream. (Go check it out! It's awesome!)

I can't say for sure when ADR will return, but this is for the best. I laugh at the fact that I've worked to fully plan out three stories (one for four years, two for three) and ADR - a random idea that was barely two months old - was the first I tried to draw. I actually had no clue where I wanted the story to go for the first fifteen or so pages of Taunt.

I'll be pumping out sketches of the characters in Opal Park over the next few weeks. The first, Birdie, is previously featured in some vent art I posted last year. As you can see, he is vastly different from that image, and far removed from the first drawing I ever made of him just over four years ago. Maybe I'll post that for laughs some day.
