What are they like?

They're kind of an ironic/sarcastic interpretation of some sci-fi tropes.

I will once I finish the rest of the mod. At this point, they are playable, but they use an existing species slot and the naming resource list needs some work. I'm also still working on the gameplay-effecting parts (at one point I had a problem with them populating WAY TOO QUICKLY and the very basic "cannibalism" trait wasn't engaging. Once this is done, yes, this mod will introduce a new trait called "Cannibalistic" in which you can lose pops if there's not enough food, and it can be applied to ANYONE theoretically.

Oooh coool. Going to have to definitely check it out when its finished then, would make a lot of the horde races I have make so much more sense.

Also I bet they and the Blorg are BEST FRIENDS.
