Darius was a solitary Raichu who was treated like a loved pet by his elderly owner but she passed on and he was put up for adoption at the pokemon center. Cocoa's trainer Melissa took him in and promised to look after him well,but Darius is very nervous around other pokemon and really fears he will be forced to battle which he has a intense fear of. He was very nervous around Sparks at first but clearly meeting Cocoa was too much of a shock for him :P
