The dragon watched as his bear boyfriend as he prepared for his day; he was facing the mirror brushing out his hair, untangling it and straightening it, getting rid of all the tangles from his sleep and shower. The dragon kept watching for a few moments more, feeling nothing but love and affection for the man preening in the mirror, before he decided it was time. Today was going to be the day; he just couldn't hold it back anymore.
Silently he strode towards the bear and hugged him from behind. He smiled warmly to him and gave him a gentle but moderately firm squeeze and rested his snout against his fluffy shoulder. The bear made eye contact with him through the mirror and smiled to him, hugging the loving arms that had wrapped around him.
"Hey hon..." the bear said quietly
"Hey..." the dragon said happily back, giving him another squeeze.
And there they stood for the next few moments. No words being spoken and none needing to be spoken. The two simply stood there embracing and enjoying the others company in affectionate silence until the dragon finally spoke up again.
"Have I ever told you how much I love the sun?" He asked. The bear wasn't sure what had spurred on this question but he knew his boyfriend well enough to know when he was talking about something important to him. He also felt like this was going to lead to something else... all he had to do was give him a cue to continue.
"No hon... not really."
The dragon waited for a breath before responding with "I love the sun... because it's warmth... it's life... it's comfort. You know that the sun will always be there no matter what. If the night ever gets too cold... or too dark... you know it'll come back and spread its light and warmth on the world again... that it'll make everything okay again..." He paused again and the bear waited patiently as he found the words to continue
"You are like the sun, hon... you bring light into my life when things get dark... and it's always comforting to know that when I wake up in the morning... you'll be there..." He said before he paused for another breath.
"These last few years have been wonderful, hon... and I want to have many more like them... I don't know what the future holds... but I do know that I want you in it." He continued as he started to loosen his grip around the bears torso.
"So... Minnigan Albus Rey'ne..." he said as he slipped his arms completely free of the bear and then stepped back, disappearing behind the bears reflection completely. The dragon could no longer be seen but the bear could hear a dull thud from behind him. He turned around to see his dragon, down on one knee, holding up a silver ring with an emerald gem sitting atop it, looking up at him with a look of joy and hope.
"Will you marry me?"
Unfortunately I didn't write down what I wrote the first time I posted here before the attack but I recreated it again from memory as best I could. This scene was how I proposed to
