Now, I've done three other pics of this guy -- two sketches and an Indian Ink piece -- and always enjoy playing with him:

I love all of his armored plating and was excited to do a full illustration with him. Now, to be accurate, I suppose, this would be version 4 of Tadashi, counting his posessed form. In THIS form, in any case, he slims down a bit, and his armor is less dense. With that in mind, I wanted to put him in a pose that showed a bit of give with those plates along his body. I also liked an idea of him LOOKING more relaxed in this form, but ready to pounce or strike at the drop of a hat.
Anyway, my big traveling, before AC, is done. Car troubles are more or less resolved. Health is good, injuries are healed. Expect me to get back to work on providing you lovely people with new and steady content.

I've spent the past couple of days trying to find where the tip of that tail was inspired from. I know it's either from a show or a flower.
I keep fixating upon the top of his head. And I can't help but think that if that was the equivalent to a rhino's horns, an elephants tusks or a stag's antlers, his might just be the paragon example if compared to others.
Mind you, I'm very aware the one ref of that form was not exactly the clearest. But I do believe it was a primary hair tentacle coming out from the center of his head from between two rear facing horns. But that is the beauty of a character who's constantly mutating and changing, because every form is canon.
Two tidbits I notice as well to my liking; those two sharper appendages coming from his side. And how the sheer strength of his left foot is crushing the stone. Perfect!
Almost want in the future to propose to your to interpret a mutation for Tadashi.

Hmmm my OWN version of Tadashi ...(Hah, RIGHT after I typed this, I instantly thought how I would do it. Better get goin' on plowin' through the current queue so you can give me the next batch. lol)
So as for the tail tip, you're right, I know it is inspired by something else. I say that, looking at it now, it DOES seem familiar, but I couldn't tell you what. As with many things that have inspired me on some kind of subconscious level, I'll be watching the old movie, reading the old comic, that it came from, and it'll come to me.
Who knows though. I mean, it wouldn't be the worst to be like, 'Nope, that tail is totally, and 100% original!' heh
