I prefer this sketch SO much more than the version I colored.
Colored pencils and graphite pencil DO NOT MIX. Never again will I attempt it. Digital colors didn't work well with this one either (or maybe I'm just too partial to black and white, haha).

I definitely have a lot to learn in the way of colored pencil. If I had my way, I'd paint over it in acrylic to smooth out everything and make it brighter. But since the color was complimentary to begin with, I think I'll leave it be. xD;;;;

Yeah... sometimes it's more fun to have greyscale and leave colors up to the imagination. I sent the commissioner both copies, so she'll be able to choose which one she like the best.
Plus, neon/bright colors are difficult to render in pencil. Haha. D:

I think it's also my... inexperience with neon colors on characters, haha (I'm still rather new to this community). Most things I draw tend to be more subdued... or at the very least, non-neon. XD Though, digital does make colors brighter. (next time, darn it!)
