Ok, this is not all that furry... But I tried out a slightly different colouring technique (if you can call it that). I'm not really sure what style of colouring would suit my stuff best. Any tips would be welcome. Perhaps I should stick to traditional colouring for a while?
Anyway... This little character doodle depicts the heads of the Gein household; Lady Shadouria Gein and her husband Lord Symon Gein (also known as Corvus). They made their fortune by adventuring, stealing, plundering and ransacking. Shadouria is a selfish bandit and the real star of the show. Corvus is a necromancer who mainly just follows her around and enjoys the booty in a dignified manner. (His hair is not naturally white, btw. He dyes it! What a poseur!)
As a heraldic symbol the surgiant cockatrice symbolizes terror to all beholders. In this case it's also a self-proclaimed king. The family motto means that "glory should be given to those who deserve it".

Thank you, Cheska! I really appreciate the freedom of being able to post both humans and furries hee in FA. I know drawings of plain old people can be pretty boring, but I guess it's good practise to draw them too every now and then. ^^
Oh, and thank you very much for the fave! <3

My kindest thanks! I think heraldic symbols are very cool. I had no idea there were so many different kinds of meanings to heraldic animals, their poses and colour codes.
The actual cockatrice ended up being more of a symbol than a real coat-of-arms figure. I'm not very good at drawing simplistic shapes. ^^;;
