Jeans look good, as do these two!

There are many catalogues of Levi's, Wrangler, and so on on my desk. It was hard to draw, but was fun to talk to young clerks at jeans shops to get those catalogues. Thank you for the comment.

While reading the history of jeans, I learned that the banknotes (or bills?) of U.S. Dollar contain shreds of jeans.

I think that's true. Most U. S. currency I believe has a measure of cotton fibers in it.

Taking a closer look at a U.S. banknote, we see many fractions of colour fibers on it. The texture is something different from a regular paper. These are probably because of cotton. The Korean government started to release the new banknotes last year, but the new Korean currencies look less attractive than the old banknotes.

We do have some weird currency here in this country.

It always takes time to draw a dressed character because we always need to draw a naked body, then put cloths on it. It is the most difficult for me now to draw the foot wears. Thank you for the comment and the fav.

Your comment encourages me to colour this piece soon. I am not trying to cheat the spectators at all but it is not easy to draw as if I were familiar with what I have not experienced. Funny to say, my father who is over eighty used to call jeans "a uniform of peaceful military."

I still use dip pens, and it always calls for a very intensive concentration badly enough to have a stomachache sometimes.

Wow, I didn't know you had to go through that trouble to draw this, but still I love it, great work.

Oh, please don't mind that. It always calls for an intensive concentration to draw an artwork with dipping pens. Planning to buy a tablet of the latest model, I am afraid if the digital ink would mar or decrease the interest of manual works.

ジーンズはよく観察するとたしかにしわがだぼっとしていますね。
日本の漫画などではジーンズはすらりと一直線でしわは最小限に描かれることが多い気がします。
ともあれ、良く描かれています。 Nice work.

キャラクタに服を着せる事は、簡単に見えますが実際描いてみればとても難しいです。スポーツウエアーのカタログはたくさんあつめていましたが、ジーンズは今まで真剣で考えた事がなかったですので今回描く事してみて良い勉強でした。概して手先が器用な日本人の性格を反映し、日本漫画は非常に精密な描写をしている様に見えます。ご講評とお気に入りご登録大変ありがとうございます。

Though it looks simple to put clothes on a character, it does not go so well if we actually draw it. Having collected many catalogues of sport wears, I did not looked at jeans so closely that it was a good practice to draw them. Reflecting on the nature that the Japanese are dexterous in general, many Japanese cartoons have exquisite depictions. Thank you for the comment and the fav.

It was his request to draw a scenery that these two characters are just standing. It was a simple request, but I thought it necessary to draw an artwork which would give room for imagination to the spectators. It is upto you to imagine what they are beating an air.
