Welcome to Frappuchinos! Now Serving: A Decision
Singa had come to a decision.
He'd been dusting around the apartment, something he could have gotten his weekly maid service to do, but today for reasons unknown he just felt like doing the work himself. It was when he found one of his pictures had fallen over that caused him to stop: it was a photo of Venti and him at the park. Venti was wearing a lovely red muscle shirt with some kind of tribal style icon, those sunglasses of his obscuring his gorgeous crimson eyes. How he wished Venti wouldn't hide his eyes from the rest of the world! But the jackal rationalized it as red eyes being too rare and disturbing, and refused to be swayed from that viewpoint. Such a stubborn jackal! It was a character trait belonging to Venti that both charmed and frustrated the cheetah.
His eyes fell back onto the picture; it reminded him of much happier times before the cheetah's inadequacy forced him away from Venti. Oh, how it hurt the jackal so when they stopped dating, but it didn't hurt him half as badly as the cheetah himself. Since then he'd quietly gone through therapy to get over those crippling mental states, and he was a better cheetah. Perhaps one who could give himself a second chance to be with someone who truly cared for him. Singa's only regret is that it took him so very damned long to admit he needed help. Curse his own stubbornness! It only served to frustrate him.
He'd heard about Damon and Venti after he came back from the yearly winter family trip. While he felt a pang of regret towards the bear, he knew the relationship between the two was a done deal. Damon had moved away, and it'd been a couple of weeks since the break up.
Now was the right time. Singa would surprise Venti at work and ask him out on a date. The jackal loved such romantic gestures, being the type who was openly gay. Perhaps he'd even buy him some gold dipped roses. It would be appropriate, given Venti's coloration of hair and flesh.
Singa would give Venti a Valentine's he'd not forget.

For the past couple of weeks I had this "what if Singa and another guy went for Venti at the same time" type of scenario popped up.... looks like it may happen.
At the weekend's fur meet some of us went to Starbucks and while I was in there I looked up at the beverage board and saw " Hot chocolate - Venti" as well as for other drinks... I was amused to find out that it means 20 oz. hot, 24 oz. cold. For some reason the iced Venti cups hold four more ounces; for this reason, Venti espresso drinks have an extra shot of espresso in them, and cost a few cents more than their hot equivalents. Pronounced "VENN-tee," and reportedly means twenty in Italian.
