Sketch commission for  jenorafeuer at WTFur 2016 Artist Alley

So when Jenora presented two sketchbooks for us artist alley artists, I saw that I had already contributed to one, themed 'Giants'. But the other one had a super-being (superhero?) theme, and it took only a few minutes to come up with a themed pic involving one of my characters. Namely Tina. My train of thought was that: she has much experience with being in close proximity to earth. And by earth I mean dirt. Mostly wet. So naturally the epic mud-wrestling fight between Raven and Terra of Teen Titans came to mind :)

For this exercise, we'll have some contrivance that compels our loveable mudpuddle-jumper to pick a superpower--any power--to use in a fight. Canonically, Tina does know how to fight, but has long suppressed that aspect of her personality and does not like revisiting it. Needless to say, she is not happy at this development, and being forced into it, has taken on (or have had imposed upon her) the ability that she's most likely to be able to use effectively. What you see here is her just wanting to end the situation as quickly as possible...even if it means fighting dirty.

I've never done a pic with a super-power theme. This came out well enough that I may do a color version in the future. But don't hold your breath--it could take awhile. I mimicked Terra's outfit from the Teen Titans animated series, but I don't pretend to know anything about the character beyond her appearance on the show.
