I've had a few things since then that I wouldn't mind being but now that I am in a stable happy relationship, those kinda died too.
Not as tragic as my childhood dreams, but it's still something.

I actually really wanted to be an archaeologist since I was young and even took some courses in college for it. But Sadly my math disability is holding me back from any real degree. I wanted to be a Marine Archaeologist or an archaeologist that specialized in rebuilding ancient temples and tombs. But their is a sub field in archeology that caters to us disabled people. Experimental archaeology. They are the ones that like make ancient recipes and brew ancient beers and wines, and build weapons and siege engines and such. Some even work with just trying to translate ancient prayers and religious texts, from the pagan times.
Spooky... Most the women I've ever known have, at one point or another, wanted to be marine biologists. They all changed tune when something shark-related happened. Some saw "Jaws" and were like "NOPE!". Some went to Marine Biology Camp and got scared while feeding the sharks. Some went swimming with sharks and nearly pissed themselves when one swam a little too close for comfort.
i like sharks, actually. they dont scare me. They are no different from any predator. respect their boundaries, keep away from their young, and dont get between them and food. Easy peasy. Only downside is they are really curious and tend to identify things by bumping into them and lightly nibbling.... and that light nibbling and bumping can remove a limb even if they dont mean to o_o
Its like big cats. sure its trying to play with you but with a paw that huge propelled by muscles that strong, a playful swat and there goes your head rolling across the grass!
No what did me in was my back. Because of the angle of my ribcage, I dont have a proper lung capacity so I cant do scuba training.
