I read some of the current SU issues, showcasing how the Eggbosses handle situations when paired with each other. With the story I had in mind of Sledge, Eggman hired him to do most jobs that his own Eggbosses couldn't. The eggbosses however, are very aware of Sledge's nature to switch sides to whoever has the most price to offer, and they are in turn to keep a close eye on Sledge. Sledge, being a prick, is milking it.
