Considering Vilunis Malaris is based on Ridley, I had a "Meta" version in mind...

- Metal Vilunis
In his first battle, he fell of Mount Glacier and landed on an icicle, piercing his chest. While barely alive, he underwent heavy genetic modifications, becoming a cyborg, making him a bioweapon.

His body is laden with artillery. His primary weapon is his arm cannon, but he can also turn his claws on the other hand into guns. He also has a scythe attached to his arm, and can use his tail as a weapon as well.

The arrow of his tail can also be fired, and returns via a retraction system.
His wings are modified as well, making them powerful jets. His redesigned head is aerodynamic, allowing him to break the sound barrier.

He can release gasses that turn the little demonic flame on his head into a flamethrower, and can also release powerful plasma beams from his mouth.

His body also contains nano munitions factories, so he has never runs out of munitions.

His whole mechanical body is powered by a miniature nuclear reactor hidden in his torso. As a last resort, he can overload the reactor to create a powerful nuclear explosion.

He can also envelop himself in his wings and roll around, like a heavily-armored ball, for more mobile movement in tight areas like corridors.

He can also throw his massive girth around to create shockwaves.

He is fought in an abandoned military facility.

A corrupt faction of planet Navaronia's military research team experimented on creating bioweapons to add to their forces. Their research was in danger of being exposed, however.
They discovered the abandoned facility on planet Primale, and determined it was perfect to take their experiments over there.

The indigens of Primale proved to not be able to handle the heavy genetic modifactions and the nuclear radiation, so they set their sights on something more powerful.

After Vilunis was exorcized from the Wrath fragment, they found his body. Turns out he's barely alive.
They put him on life support, and safely transferred him to the military facility.

Inside, the Navaronians experimented on Vilunis, heavily modificated not only his body, but his genetic code, as well, and equipped him with heavy artillery.
The experimen was a success. Vilunis was the only creature that survived the modifactions.

However, the modifications and exposure to nuclear radiation detoriated Vilunis's brain, causing him to ignore orders transmitted to him.
Vilunis's breakdown proved to be too dangerous, even by Navaronian standards.
They abadoned their project, and sealed Metal Vilunis away, deep in the facility, in heavily armored walls.

The Navaronian researchers determined that the radiation caused Metal Vilunis's lifespan to be shortened significantly, so they deemed it safe to leave him to die there.

Unfortunately, Metal Vilunis's lifespan was long enough to meet with Luna, his previous slayer.
Metal Vilunis is accidentally released, and a tough battle ensues.

Metal Vilunis proved to be too agile for Luna to hit. However, Luna then used Ice Shard as a container, and Ice Beam to fill it with a lot of energy, creating Ice Missile.
Luna could now lock on to Metal Vilunis using her control over ice.
Eventually, she managed to defeat Vilunis.

Down, but not out, however... Metal Vilunis used his self-destruction as a last resort, but that too didn't defeat Luna.

Vilunis's spirit was freed from the resulting metal scraps, and seemed to thank Luna for saving him from his insanity.
Apparently Luna did enough damage to Vilunis to have him recover his sanity. In that instant, he decided to self-destruct to save himself from being controlled.

However, this wouldn't be the last time Vilunis fought against Luna...

And as for the Navaronians... Let's not hope that they'll perfect their research and mass produce Metal VIlunis models...
