No, this is not from a future story. This doodle was inspired by a certain "revelation" about a certain Star Spangled Avenger. So, this was done to sort of spoof that.

That is only being done for shock value. Once the fans refuse to accept it, like they are, Marvel will drop it like a hot potato. I mean, the guy slugged Hitler on the first cover he'd appeared on back in 1941, as well as the first modern film (even if the guy was an actor) he'd appeared in.
