Pinup Fur detailing WIP
A preview of things to come...
Ive been wanting to delve more into detailed coloring techniques but ive always been just too chicken (read lazy) to try. But im finally giving it a go! My wrist hurts like crazy already XD
Mainly just upping the detail on the technique in fur detail i previously mixed with my shading to something more.
People who's art has just massively inspired and encouraged me to try this are - Balaa, Silverone, Blotch, Kaji and Starfinder <3 They are all incredible detail artists and I suggest you check them out if you have not already!

I wish I could tell you but I really am just learning myself XD I just coloured the flat as I usually do, then started drawing millions of little lines. I suggest learning how animals fur lies and moves on their bodies first, once you have a clear understanding of this (Ive poured over photos and watched animals irl since I was tiny XD), drawing how it sits on the body comes a little more easy (though I am sure I produce many flaws still haha).
Hawhaw. Welcome to the club of the detail nutcases.
Start saving up for a new Wacom - I've literally worn out mine after I've painted fur like that.
Looks very promising already, by the way! Some more dynamic lights and shadows would bring out the detailed fur even better - but maybe you're planning for that already.

Haha, I just got a Intuos a few months back so she be fairly new (and I have a stack of spare nips and 2 older pens xD) so hopefully ill be ok! As for the lighting, yea Ill be needing to work on that. I plan to figure out the light source more once the main details are set, I am going full hog on this and adding a background ect (very rare for me XD), so this is a massive experiment, mainly to see what I am capable of!
And thanks :D
