I've done more revisions and rewrites and tweaks on this comic than any other, perhaps up to a quarter as many as the actual movie writers. Some revisions came even after I was 'finished', hence the mismatched text (some of which is actually legible.)

I noticed the text too, but don't worry about it. It takes a lot to get the perfect mood and setting put together and sometimes changes are made. I've actually written entire pages worth of story and erased it all at once because I didn't feel any emotion in it. These things are important.
Just seems a little too polar. I imagine her wrapping her arms around his forearm and lean against him with a forelorn look. In the film she felt her bigotry and believed she broke the city then had to face the pain she caused him. Here, it's more a fear of judgement and so I'd expect a fear or anxiety type reaction. EWS already showed a previos moment of her finding solace in his embrace so if there were a problem with their union/relationship, she'd more likely hold him than have such a large breakdown.
I get what Nick's scared of.....losing her. He thinks that she's going to take off on him. Let's face it, it isn't the first time he's had disappointment in his life. He's afraid she's going to dump on him like the rest of the world has in his past. Just see the look in his eye in the last panel. He's terrified, yet he loves her dearly.
The pred/prey relationships resonate almost to well with the stigma of interracial (hoomans, are dumb cause it's just skin pigment) and same sex issues. Still, she has right to fear, her parents handed her a bunch of anti pred tools before leaving before the big city. Even if she stands to her parents. It's an uphill battle with the rest of the city/world but, that's what either makes or breaks a relationship.
Okami Kyubi: *Fox-wolf hybrid* What's more difficult to accompish a goal for your own life is to accompish goal for love. Love is even probably the most difficult challenges anyone have to face. My father is blind. He will not see anything with his own eyes, but he can see with his heart. Where he meet my mother whose a fox and outside of the clan. Their love is forbidden but their love for one to another is more powerful than anyone can imagine. Because you are one of different species doesn't mean you only be in love with one's own species. Fear and hate by many is a challenge but it can be overcomed. Showing your love for someone's different may also help to open eyes of others. Even one species in love with another species is the most beautiful thing.
