This nearly killed me but it was sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo worth it!!!!
Just 8 minutes after midnight on Halloween too and technically it's already the first day of the two day celebration of Dia De Los Muertos/The Day Of The Dead.

The Nov. 1st or the night after Halloween after midnight is when the spirits of children are released from heaven to come play and visit their families again and enjoy treats and their favorite food and drinks and toys.

Nov. 2nd is for the adult spirits to come and enjoy the festivities along with other spirits, they usually get alcohol and full on meals as tributes and also get their favorite things.

I love this holiday because it gives us a chance to reconnect with not only those who have passed but to appreciate and remember our own family history and culture and to see the true beauty of death instead of it's dark and sad reputation.

Remembering a precious life lived instead of mourning a loss, I think it's nice.
