There are actually humans in Hybrid. Here are two of the main human characters, Grayson and his wife, Hallie. Grayson is the elected leader of the Colonials and a good man, though he's having trouble defying his boorish father, Eric. Hallie, on the other hand, makes her defiance of her husband's father known. Eric is a worm and someone who cannot have his way. She's the only Colonial who doesn't believe that the Hybrids are demons and feels that they should respect what they stand for.
