Worldbuilding
A Refsheet for the forces of the Hepplen Sovereignty. an empire of Touboros Dragonfolk. despite being a comparatively smaller empire they posses a disproportionate amount of military strength that allows them to hit far above their weight in the galaxy.
Equipment.
Lamellar Battlecoat
While it has a rather archaic appearance to that of a trenchcoat, the beneath the battlecoats tough outer fabrics are a set of durable Lemellar armour that possess incredibly high ballistic, kinetic and thermal protection for it's class. its weight however means that an exoskeleton is expected to be worn while using the battlecoat.
Exoskeleton. Heptunn Metal Works HMW-250 C-X Combat Exoskeleton. Durable and easily mass produced within the Sovereignty, these frame are always in good supply. the HMW-250 essentially replaced the HMW-130's as the 250's are lighter and more durable and the hydraulics and servos replaced with an artificial muscle system. These ExoSkeletons are used to carry the heavy equipment that a Hepplen Guardsman is expected to carry such as their heavy battlecoats.
Thunderbolt MK III Assault Rifle: a heavy rifle designed to fire high explosive self propelled ammunition with high explosive-armour piercing micro-warheads. forgoing any subtlety for raw power. the Thunderbolt and Stinger Series are the premiere weapon of the Sovereignty that can easily make short work of full power armour. these weapons are semi-auto usually have small capacity even for large size magazines so effort on aiming is needed.
GX6 Breaker Grenade Launcher: a powerful squad weapon used to multiply their power, the GX6 can fire powerful fragmentation grenades accurately over long distances with a 6 round chamber. also special ammo makes this weapon incredibly versatile.
Special Ammo from left to right. Frag Round, Heavy ShotsShell, Armour Piercer, Chemical, Incindiary, EMP and a powerful but uncommon Cluster round that has recently been developed.
Light Equipment:
Extended Range (ER) field comms unit. while the helmets complete with communication gear, they are often short range and used for unit level communication, as well as interference from enemy ECM technology. The ER Field Comms Unit is carries an encrypter engine and EC-CM to protect transmissions between a unit and field commands. Can use energy from the portable power source to increase it's power.
Portable Power Source: a nuclear powered battery capable of powering and recharging a wide variety of electronic equipment.
Utility Hammer-Axe. a useful multipurpose tool that can also in a pinch work as an effective close range defensive tool.
Exoskeleton Fuel Cell, used to power the Combat Exoskeleton. each soldier is expected to carry a spare or two to increase operational range.
Waterpack with Moisture Collector. a useful piece of technology commonly used by colonists to collect fresh drinking water from the atmosphere, the waterpack give a soldier a source of clean water,
Mess Kit W/ Rations.
contains a water canteen, messkit with utensils, portable flameless mini-stove and a species appropriate MRE enhanced with required calories and nutrients. the most popular is a something of a chunky meat and vegetable curry pack with instant nutrient enhanced rice. (it is closer to a japanese style). various other stews exist. also contains tea and sweet snack.
Light Sources: a high intensity flashlight and self igniting flare for illumination purposes. flashlight can be charged with the portable power source.
Individual Field Medkit (Hepplen Sovereignty). Produced by Hepplen MediTech. plentiful as it is important, the IFM contains single use medical supplies used to hopefully keep a soldier alive and stable until proper medical attention is received. Contents designed for Touboros physiology. standard pack contents: Anodyne injector. electronic cauterizing tool, medigel treated bandages and antiseptic biospray. Medkits are regularly inspected to prevent painkiller abuse. which is grounds for punishment.
